We watched the horses in the paddock, then watched the race itself on a large, poor-resolution screen. The winner was a 50-1 long shot. The second-place horse was 70-1. Mary Lea said, "There are going to be some drunk, angry people." (You'll notice I took shots mostly of the favorites...none of whom placed.) We got the hell out of there.
